PRESCRIBING INFORMATION
COMPOSITON Gliclazide: 30mg
DESCRIPTION A caplet white tablet, scored “LO 7” on one side.
INDICATION Gliclazide is recommended in adults for type II diabetes, in association with dietary measures and with physical exercise, when these measures alone are not sufficient to obtain normal blood glucose levels.
DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION Dosage 30 to 120mg depending on response, once daily with breakfast, including in elderly patients or those with mild-to-moderate renal failure.
METHOD AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION Oral administration.
The tablets must be taken whole with half a glass of water before breakfast. It is preferable to take this drug before breakfast in order to avoid or to minimise the possible onset of digestive disorder.
The once daily administration of Opgluco™ MR, Modified-Release tablet must always be followed by a meal.
STORAGE CONDITIONS Store below 25 C. Prevent direct sunlight.
Do not leave within the reach or sight of children.
