Ginkor fort ® is used to treat:

  • Symptomatic treatment of acute congestive haemorrhoidal attacks.
  • Treatment of symptoms related to venlymphatic insufficiency (varicose veins) such as oedema, cramps, or restless legs.

Ginkor fort ® was developed with the aim of obtaining a product, which answers the needs of a multi-factorial disease. It consists of three active ingredients, namely, extract of Gingko biloba, Troxerutin and Heptaminol hydrochloride. Each ingredient contributes its own unique therapeutic action and acts in synergism once combined.

Ginkor fort ® is a veinotonic and vasculoprotector. It increases venous tonicity, vessel wall resistance and decreases its permeability.

Ginkor fort ® encourages venous blood return and drainage of lymphatic oedema. These effects are accompanied by a local inhibitory activity against several pain-inducing mediators (histamin, bradykinin, serotonin), lysosomal enzymes and free radicals, which are capable of inducing inflammatory processes and degradation of collagen fibres.

Numerous clinical studies have been conducted with Ginkor fort ® for the treatment of acute haemorrhoidal attack. Out of these studies, one was carried out in 1449 patients with varying degrees of acute attack. In addition, 32% of the patients included had a haemorrhoidal thrombosis.

It was demonstrated that treatment with Ginkor fort ® two capsules twice a day for the first week of acute treatment, and one capsule twice a day for the second week of maintenance therapy resulted in a significant reduction of 72% in the global composite index, evaluated by pain, rectal bleeding, pruritus, tenesmus and discharge.

Ginkor fort ® benefits:
  • relieves pain and discomfort, reduces oedema and protects collagen fibers
  • increases venous blood return and stops haemorrhoidal bleeding
  • has low incidence of relapse
